There was a feverish type hype around Edward Gal's "Wonder Horse", Moorlands Totilas and the 9 year old did not let anyone down. He scored 32 maximum 10 marks in the Special and still lost to Adelinde Cornelissen riding Parzival but then he broke a record in the Kur with a score of 90.75%. In the team competition, The Netherlands were always going to be too strong for the rest but GB (the host nation) were in ecstacy after securing team Silver ahead of the Germans. Top rider, Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris grabbed a dramatic Bronze in the Special.
